American Idol
American Idol was good last night. It is hard to determine who will win which makes the finale more exciting.
I like David Cook a lot, and hope he wins but David Archuleta has an incredible, natural talent, is young and well recieved by the viewers. True for Cook as well, but the young David may be more of what the American Idol fan base is looking for. I think David Cook has more 'charisma' and is unique and established, where as David A is a young, talented protige' almost. They are very different.
Looking forward to watching it tonight!

Mama Dove please come back...
It was our mistake, we did fireworks in our backyard Sunday night and the Mama dove, of-course, got spooked and flew away.
We have been extremely down and ridden with guilt!
To our joy, the Mama and Papa dove returned the next day and have been scouting out the yard ever since. We watched them walk over to the 'exact location on the lawn, where the fireworks were and peck around(or whatever it is they do). The have gone in the nest a few x's, but we are worried the eggs may have died from the cold. They are buried in the nest and after seeing the doves return, we figure they may still be alive and the doves are just making sure all is well. They have yet to return and stay.

As usual, it looks like we may have a rainy long weekend. Who knows, maybe things will change and here's hoping for some sunny breaks.

Dove update
RE" my previous blogs about the doves lodging in our backyard. The mother dove is still there, the eggs have not hatched, I heard it takes approx.3 weeks, plus they will nede time to grow once they do, we are looking at a few months rent 'mama and papa dove', lol!
It is amazing to watch her, she hasn't left the nest in 2 weeks now ,and the other day when we were outside she called for the papa dove; he came over to the nest, crawled inside and she stood up and moved around a bit. It was lamost like she called him over to watch over the eggs while she moved around.
Sweet sounds in the house...
Preparing supper yesterday, I had the sweetest background entertainment.
As I chopped and stirred, cooked and cleaned up, I heard the voice of my 2 year old, playing with her toys, acting out going to the " store and to work ", singing with them and, well, just being a 'kid'.
Never has our household had such sweeter sounds, then, since she has arrived. From her very 1st crys, to her coos, to her " mamamama " and " dadadada " and we will never forget the 1st sounds of her laughter, how blessed are we, she has filled our home and our lives with so many things and there is so much more to come.
Sand box
My husband Anthony built our little girl Lucy a sand box. It's huge. We could put a blanket in it and lay down and pretend we are on the beach, it's so big.
Lucy is thrilled and Anthony feels very proud! The challenge now, is to get her to come inside from time to time, good luck to us!!!

Happy mother's day to all of you and to my mother Helen, as I said when my daughter was born 2 years ago I only hope to be 1/2 of the mother you are to me.

Barney
I took my little girl to see Barney yesterday, he is on tour right now celebrating 20 years. He is at MapleView Mall again today.
The expression on Lucy's face when Barney came out was priceless. I will never forget it and it brought a tear to my eye. She was incredibly excited, imagine, being 2, and meeting the purple creature you watch on TV, oh, it's great to be young.
She danced and sang and then asked if she could " kiss Barney ", when I told her ,she couldn't because he was busy working doing his show, she cried for 5 mins. Poor little girl, she bounced back and rounded the show off with more dancing and singing. What a great afternoon and she fell asleep 'one very happy little girl, holding her Barney plush toy.
Did he whisper " don't vote "???
Did you watch American Idol last night?
I could have sworn Jason Castro mouthed the words " don't vote ' during Ryan Seacrest's delivery of his # to vote.
Jason said in an intreview this week that he was ready to go home, so he may have said that last night. I am not going to judge him in wanting to leave BUT if he did mouth that last night, I think it was unprofessional and unfair to the other contestants who were voted off & who really want to be there and in his shoes. If he wants to leave, he should tell the producers and he should just go, instead of putting the viewers, judges and staff through the process with him, he is wasting all of their time and ours if he doesn't want to be there anymore.
