Cobain, Junos and other brilliance
It's been over a week since I last blogged, but I'm getting a good reaction from you about what I've written so keep the emails coming.
Today is the 14th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain. Not that I was a huge fan of his while he was alive, but I recognize his influence and did even at the time. He was also one of those celebrity deaths that I can remember exactly where I was when I found out. I was at the corner of Aberdeen and Locke St., walking home from school when a friend drove by and shouted out the window of her car what had happened.
Did you see the Junos? I caught most of the show. I was a happy to see Triumph inducted in to the hall of fame. I've always been a huge fan of those guys!
I don't know about you, but I am shocked, shocked that Pavarotti used to lip-sync some of his performances. Here's a linky: http://www.thespec.com/News/CanadaWorld/article/351255
Some other thoughts and notes:
I can't wait for the next rainfall because I fixed my eaves trough the other day.
I like the show "Intervention," It makes me feel better about myself.
I always thought that Burt Reynolds should have been the lead in the movie, "Gandhi."
Alan Freed was treated unfairly. Dick Clark got away with murder (figuratively speaking).
