Well, the long Victoria Day weekend is almost here and beginning in the 9 o'clock hour on Friday morning, join me twice an hour for Lookin' Back at some 'Oh Wow' hits from 1958 to 1972. You'll hear about things you most likely remember, but have forgotten about. The summer of '72 was one of my favourite summers. Some of the hits then included Brandy, you're a Fine Girl, Lean On Me, Take It Easy, Saturday In The Park, Beautiful Sunday, Go All The Way, Where Is The Love, Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress,Too Late To Turn Back Now and the first hit for Ireland's singer/songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan with Alone Again Naturally. Ever seen the singer? Here's a sneak preview of what you'll hear on Oldies 1150 CKOC this long holiday weekend.

Here's one of 50 'lookin' Back' features you'll hear this long weekend to go along with the song you just heard.

Remember 1972 when The Hamilton Ti-Cats won the Grey Cup beating Saskatchewan?

You could buy a 24 bottle case of Molson's, Labatt's or O'Keefe beer for around 5 bucks.

'72 was the year Broadway's musical ‘Grease' opened and ‘Hair' closed.

It was the year New Music Artists included The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Jim Croce, Steely Dan and a singer/songwriter from Ireland who sang from the heart with ‘Alone Again Naturally'.

I'm Ted Yates and we're Lookin' Back with a summer '72 hit from Gilbert O'Sullivan
